Over the past week at varied gigs in Bath I have come across some new (to me anyway) D&B, which is rather pleasant.

Firstly after a tip or two from a drunken gentlemen in Club XL, this almost year old but lovely track from Logistics took my ears on a nice liquid trip.

TV Rock's - In the air has been out for what seems like years but has had a release and a re-release with tons of remixes in the past month. Stop the press though, this D&B mash from Blame definitely rocks my screen.

This next dude is from Slovakia. And he shares his name with a nutritional supplement. Which makes internet surfing not only interesting, but also informative.

Everything I've heard on his Soundcloud and My Space page I love. It's exactly my kind of Drum and Bass; just close enough to your face to get you pissed off, but with a story to tell and a pleasant tone so that you don't want to hit it. Right on the spot if you ask me... which you didn't.

A few new Drum and Bass Delights for you today peoples.

While I've been busy with my usual love of electro, and discovering the many different dubstep remixes that people do of every feckin La Roux or Ellie Goulding track, I've pretty much forgotten about Drum and Bass...

Is it not a winter thing maybe? Seasonal? Or the fact that not much decent has popped up at all over the cold months.

Anyway I can't understand this loss of love, but these next tracks should help both you and I regain our 'summer' spring in our step that involves a bpm much higher than anything else.

Blame - On My Own feat. Fudah Guy&Tinchy Stryder (DnB mix)

The first is a fresh new track from Blame. I like Blame, he is one of those producers who's name goes standardly well on a remix package and his own tracks always find their way to my hard drive. Yeah it's not crazily different but it's easy on the drum and bass ears. There is also a Drumsound and Bassline remix which I also recommend but the D&B one from Blame himself wins as the top track today.

It's almost cheesy this one especially with the addition of the Stryder. It kinda works though.

Pendulum - Watercolor (You Tube)

I don't like Pendulum. I couldn't tell you exactly why, but there is something not very Drum and Bass about them. It's probably the fact that everyone requested Pendulum at Flirt for years when saying they wanted D&B and although I hear their live shows are awesome, I think their commercial success has kinda ruined what love I may have had for them.

Gotta love the end of the third year, I spent most of yesterday watching ER and playing scrabble on farcebook and then worked till 10am to finish a 6k essay. So another post today and another one of those new ladies on the block... its that wonderfully styled VV Brown. Here is some remixical music history of her for you "Leave (Drumsound And Simonbassline Vocal)" but her new one out on June the 8th (available from all good music stores) and entitled 'Shark in the water' has some scorching remixes from "Blame", "Crazy P" and "Zombie Disco" Little bit of everything there people, some DnB, some chilled beats and some crazy shiz from Zombie Disco - turn that one up loud. Best get back to my snakebite... sorry... uni work.
